I have lost many family members to cancer.  My step-mother is wining her battle with cancer right now… but when is it my turn?  My wife’s turn?  My kids? (childhood cancer is rising quickly)

It was a rabbit-trail that gave me hope

I was listening to a scientist speaker when, as a side note, he mentions that he knew the cure for cancer.  He mentioned that the cure was in our food.  That there are vitamins lost in the processing our food takes, that would help cure cancer.

I was astounded.

How could this guy talk about science when he knows the cure for cancer?

I remember being struck in the gut by it.  I thought, “If I knew the cure for cancer… I would make it my mission in life to tell people about it.  Too many are hurt or dying because of cancer.”

I later found out 600,000 people die of cancer each year in America alone.

That’s 1643 people today.

This is a twin towers incident each and every day. 

The problem is we have gotten used to the story.  It doesn’t bother us anymore… until it’s personal.  But we have all too often become passive about it.

So with that little tid-bit of information I embarked on over a thousand hours of research on cancer? 

What are the case studies saying, what about this method or that?  How effective are the medications?  Where did chemotherapy come from?  What exactly does the AMA, NCI and the FDA do and how do they help?

Boy, I found a lot of conspiracy theory stories.  Lots of blame has been cast on this thing or that.  But many themes continued to be told over and over so much so that I decided to check into them as well.

Why are there never any price wars among pharmaceutical companies?  How much does political campaign contributions effect our policies over cancer?  Why have many doctors received death threats for recommending natural or alternative therapies?  And who runs these organizations?  Where does the money flow?

But, I don’t want to cast blame.  I want people to become healthy.
